Colin is highly skilled model builder and excellent communicator. The entire process went smoothly, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the finished model. A true family heirloom.

I contacted Colin about reproducing a model B-17 and P-51 that reflected my father‘s third mission as a pilot during World War II. With the help of Cliff Deets (historian with the 306bg) we were able to ascertain the aircraft finish and markings. Colin was able to reproduce from historical records how the aircraft must have looked at the completion of the mission showing heavy smoke damage from its two engine failures.

I asked for a model based on a friend's father who was one of the lucky few to fly the Corsair F4U. Colin recreated a life-like version from an old photo of the very aircraft his father flew and obtained many details about the aircraft squadron, not to mention finding actual historic photos of the squadron in flight.
