Jaguar E-Type
This is a build of the huge old Monogram kit form the 1970s and was an original kit that had been started by the owner and then abandoned. The age of the kit posed the usual challenges of age-brittle plastic and poor casting, but overall it is a great kit of possibly the most beautiful car in the world.
This build was to match an actual car in the family of the kit’s owner, which had been carefully restored and looked magnificent. I was able to get hold of the actual paint used on their car to match perfectly, and added details to create a fitting tribute with a model that when finished is about two feet in length!
