They have helped to remember beloved grandfathers and other family members who served in the armed forces with heroic stories – or just a time when their job brough them into contact with an iconic subject.
They have reproduced cars, bikes and even planes someone owned or piloted in their youth – as well as the ones they always wished they could have had.
They have recreated fond memories from classic films and TV programmes, exhibitions for Museums, and even carried the engagement ring when well-known TV medic Dr Xand van Tulleken proposed to his wife!
STEP 1
Tell me about the subject you would like to commission - it might be a car you owned or the plane your grandad flew. Just tell me what you are after - there's a form to help.
Step 2
I only build from kits, so I will need to find one. Some aircraft and vehicles have lots of kits, some have just one and unfortunately some don't have any. If you have one in mind, let me know - or I will search and find the best options.
Step 3
If I need any more information I will contact you, and then work out the costs and a schedule for the build. You can then decide whether or not to go ahead.
Step 4
If you decide to go ahead, you will need to pay a 50% non returnable deposit plus the cost of the kit - or you can supply one if you prefer.
Step 5
I will carefully build your model - exactly as if I was building for myself. Every model is made by me personally and I will never sub it out to anyone else.
Step 6
Once I'm happy with the build, I take a quick video and send it through so you can see how it looks and make sure you are happy with it too.
Step 7
If you are happy with the build, you pay the remaining 50% and delivery costs.
Step 8
If you live in the UK, I will try to meet you somewhere to pass the model over - but if it has to be posted I will package it VERY carefully and send it to you direct.
